Why all the fuss? For most of us, it’s not that big of a deal ... we grab our camera, turn it on, point at our subject and shoot. Pretty simple right? But if modern photography is that simple, and people are really so happy, then why all the photography books, classes, workshops and seminars? Why then, in a world were technological advancements have made capturing an image easier than making a cup of coffee, do we still want more? The answer is simple: pride. We’re missing it ... and we have to get it back.

Lenore has been a student of our for a while. The images seen here were taken during one of our Painting With a Lens classes. Here is her text.

"Here are my favorite painting pictures. The Four Daisies was done with a crazy number of dark filters during your class. I think you remember the Balboa Park one we did in the painting class with again a lot of filters and a ton of people in the shot that magically disappeared as the lens stayed open and I moved the image around. The last one is my favorite impressionist style paint picture from Balboa park."
